The eco-district of Saint-Martin du Var
The future eco-district of Saint Martin du Var will enhance the historical part of the commune, creating an extended the heart of the old village. In a later phase, a multimodal transport station will put in place.
Situated 20 km from Nice, to the North of the Eco-Vallée, on the left bank of the river, Saint-Martin-du-Var forms the gateway to the highlands and Alps mountain range. This commune of approximately 2 500 inhabitants is spread over 559 hectares at the heart of the central area. It offers a unique setting with its old village, hillside forests and rich river land, in which to develop a future eco-district. The project, which will include housings as well as commercial real estate for shops, companies and proximity services, will create 500 potential jobs and ensure a social and functional mix. And thanks to the pole multimodal hub and the renovation of the Provence train track, it will have easy access to the whole Eco-Vallée, as well as to the Nice city center.
